Dan Hoppe (AKA: Rock)
Lead Vocals

A natural born front-man, Dan has been performing since the age of 16, cutting his teeth on everything from Gospel and Classical Music to the Blues and Rock N Roll! He first caught the musical bug while singing with the vocal band, Proclaim, during the 80's. Since that time Dan has gone on to perform behind Celine Dion as well as perform on stage at the Palace of Aurburn Hills.

During the past 10 years, Dan helped to found and front the band Exit Reality. For 7 years, the
band delighted audiences all over Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio with their mix of classic rock and current hits. As Exit Reality began to prepare for their last show, Heath Bathgate approached Dan with an interest in putting together a funk band, the result ultimately unleashed ThunderFunk to the people!

While on stage, Dan's alter ego, Rock, takes front stage, but don't be fooled by the name, this one time Rock singer is more at home laying down smooth and soulful vocals that hearken back to his youth when delivering Gospel and Blues to the masses.

Dan lives in Monroe with his wife, Joelle, of 24 years. They have two children, Sara and Gabe.
